Miley Cyrus plays a twerking Michele Bachmann on SNL

Be forewarned that you won't be able to unsee Miley Cyrus with a Michele Bachmann wig on. After spending the past few days annoying Sinead O'Connor, pop's young woman of the moment took to Saturday Night Live this past weekend, and one of her skits was lampooning the U.S. government shutdown.

While Gimme Noise would prefer not to speculate how Minnesota congresswoman Bachmann dances in her private time, Cyrus and her tongue go the extra step for us. The scenes from her "We Can't Stop" video have been updated with some extra "Republican" tendencies in "We Did Stop."

With an androgynous Taran Killam as John Boehner by her side, Cyrus actually does take on a serious message with this clip. Even Weird Al Yankovic, who parodied Miley with "Party in the C.I.A." a few years ago, would be right to salute the SNL writers for lyrical content that's on point and funny.
