Math and science nerds: bring your kids to this event
This Saturday the University of Minnesota hosts a free family festival celebrating math and science.
Held at the Coffman Memorial Union (300 Washington Ave. SE, Minneapolis), the Math & Science Fun Fair will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities will include hands–on entertainment geared towards increasing enthusiasm for science and math in youth. Kids can learn about robotics, energy, physics, and chemistry. Raptors from the university’s Raptor Center will be on hand. Kiddies can also see a human brain, race miniature race cars, train to be an astronaut, and play a life–sized game of operation.
