Man! I feel like Shania Twain is coming to St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center!

Shania Twain at Target Center in 2015

Shania Twain at Target Center in 2015 Steve Cohen

Lemme tell ya something, detached headline voice: That's because Shania Twain is coming to St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center next year on May 15.

Word arrived Thursday of the country megastar's new worldwide tour in support of her first album in 15 years, Now, due out September 29. Tickets to see Twain in St. Paul -- $29.95-$149.95 -- go on sale at 10 a.m. on August 25 via the venue box office and Ticketmaster.

Back in 2015, Twain's Rock This Country Tour visited Target Center in Minneapolis for back-to-back concerts, her first Minnesota appearances in 14 years. The 72-show trek was billed as her final tour.

"Shania may do the same ‘ol, same ‘ol songs, but why shouldn’t she?" our critic asked in her review. "Her hits are still so insanely good that we’d be content hearing them forever – and we will. Everyone wants to hear Shania on the jukebox."

When Now hits, we'll get a batch of 12 fresh tracks from the 51-year-old Canadian country great, including single "Swingin' With My Eyes Closed," which you can watch Twain perform on The Tonight Show. Did Wednesday's poppy, reggae-tinged performance impress us much? You bet!
