Low plays free show for the DFL tomorrow afternoon
Duluth natives Low love Democrats as much as you do. They'll be showing just how much tomorrow at Painter Park, where the DFL is hosting a Blue BBQ to celebrate progress (and summer, obviously) with musical guests Low, the Gated Community and the Middle States. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can exercise your right to life, liberty and the pursuit of musical happiness with the good peeps of the DFL.
The BBQ is sponsored by Senate District 60 DFL, and will also feature all-American deliciousness from Play Ball Catering, including pork-free and vegetarian options for a small fee. The event is free and open to the public.
If you have brunch plans, cancel them. How often will you get to see Low play a free show in the name of fair Legislature at a Minneapolis park? Some popular elected officials will also be there, so this can double as your chance to pitch your ideas about open-container laws or whatever else is weighing on your mind. The Blue DFL BBQ will be held on June 11, 2011, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Painter Park on Lyndale and 34th St.
