Perhaps seeking to drown out the whiffing sound of strikeouts, your winless Minnesota Twins announced a rare home-run move Tuesday — the return of the Midwest Music Showcase.

Beginning April 27, fans of the 0-7 hometown club can enjoy pre- and mid-game entertainment during 10 Wednesday home games from a strong cast of local musicians, including indie-rap heavyweight Astronautalis, 2015 Picked to Click champions Bad Bad Hats, powerhouse R&B showman Har Mar Superstar, and beloved piano-rocker Mark Mallman.

The third annual Midwest Music Showcase, which is organized by Twins-owned radio station Go 96.3, has situated artists beneath Target Field's Budweiser Party Deck in left field in past years. From there, the scheduled acts will perform brief live sets ahead of games and short blasts of music between innings.

As noted by the Star Tribune, this year's MMS sorta improves on the zero women included in last year's edition (Holidae and Bad Bad Hats are both female-fronted).

Here's the complete '16 lineup:

  • Astronautalis: 7:10 p.m. April 27 vs. Cleveland Indians

  • Al Church: 12:10 p.m. May 11 vs. Baltimore Orioles
