Lollapalooza 2010 lineup announced
After a series of Wheel of Fortune/word puzzle guessing games, Chicago summer fest Lollapalooza has officially revealed its 2010 lineup. With the 10,000 Lakes Festival on hiatus this year and Rothbury in Michigan canceled, Lolla is one of the closest large-scale festivals for Twin Cities music fans now, in addition to Chicago's Pitchfork Festival July 16-18.
The Lollapalooza festival will run August 6-8 this year, and feature several massive artists, with six headliners: Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire, Green Day, the Strokes, Phoenix, and Soundgarden. Three-day passes are $215 and on sale now.
We're expecting more summer festivals and shows to announce their lineups over the next few weeks; the Basilica Block Party hinted that they might reveal their lineup this week via Twitter, while the Current and Walker's Rock the Garden lineup will be announced on-air with Mary Lucia on April 13.
