This weekend the Mall of America hosts the 3rd Annual Knit Out, the world's largest of its kind. Last year the event drew over 100,000 knitters each day.

But this event isn't just an epic stitch 'n' bitch; there are a variety of yarn-related activities and events scheduled throughout both days. There will be workshops and talks on a wide range of subjects for both novices and experts. Got a problem project that you just don't know how to fix? Expert knitters will be on hand to troubleshoot and give advice. Did you know that there's a knit-lit genre? Well, there is. Best-selling knit-lit author Debbie Macomber will also be there to give a talk.

The  Knit Out will be at the Mall of America (60 E. Broadway, Bloomington). Hours of the event are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Most talks and events are free, but some do have sign up fees. For a complete schedule, check out the Mall of America website here.
