Kill Kancer Reveals Music Lineup for Benefit Show

The benevolent folks behind the local nonprofit Kill Kancer -- founded by Mary Beth Mueller, the widow of Soul Asylum's Karl Mueller -- have once again put together a terrific benefit show to raise awareness and money for their good cause.

On October 10 at Mill City Nights, Kill Kancer has organized a two-part event that they are calling A Killer Soiree, with a special gala kicking off the early portion of the night and a full-on rock show later in the evening.

The gala, featuring a raffle and free drinks, begins at 7 p.m., with musical entertainment provided by the New Standards, PaviElle French, and DJ Brian Engel.

Things will become a bit more loose and casual at 9 p.m. during the all-ages rock 'n' roll portion of the event. Local acts Howler, Black Diet, Black Market Brass, and the Rebel Queens are officially on the bill, but there are also hints of some special guests joining in the fun, so there's no telling what unique collaborations could take place.

Tickets for the gala are $52, and provide access to the whole event along with the raffle. Tickets for the concert are $12. Both tickets can be purchased online via Mill City Nights' website or at the door on the night of the event. More information about Kill Kancer can be found at their website. To RSVP and get updated information about the benefit, check the event's Facebook page.
