Keith Ellison's Get Out the Vote Concert 2014 Lineup

Local congressman Keith Ellison -- a noted Prince and Woody Guthrie fan -- is taking his message to the club this election season. Just like he did in 2012, he's assembled a fundraiser aimed directly at his youthful constituents.

Ahead of Election Day, First Avenue will stage a night of hip-hop (and Gabriel Douglas) this November hosted by Ellison.   [jump] Two years ago, Ellison staged a similar bash featuring Slug, Dessa, and Brother Ali at the Ave. Fresh off the release of his latest solo album, Field Notes, Doomtree rapper Sims returns in support of Ellison to lead the lineup for this show, coming on Sunday, November 2.

The night's lineup features:
Toki Wright & Big Cats
Gabriel Douglas (The 4onthefloor)
Update: Jeremy Messersmith
and special guest

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Keith Ellison for Congress campaign.

Get Out the Vote Concert. 18+, $10, 6 p.m., Sunday, November 2 at First Avenue. Tickets.
