Katy Perry's show at the Xcel postponed until August 23
As part of what has become a rash of popular shows being postponed due to illness, Katy Perry has announced today that she will not appear at the Xcel Energy Center tomorrow night as planned due to "an attack of food poisoning leading to severe dehydration." She is also postponing her show tonight in Chicago, where she was slated to play the Allstate Arena.
For St. Paul fans, the show will be moved to August 23 at the Xcel, and all original tickets will be honored at the new date. Refunds are also available at the point of purchase.
Perry issued a statement about the rescheduling: "I apologize to my fans in Chicago and the Twin Cities for not being able to perform this weekend, but I am going to return in a few weeks to give them the very best show ever!"
