Kanye and Jay-Z's 'Watch the Throne' tour presale delayed for Minneapolis, show may switch date

The presale for Kanye West and Jay-Z's joint "Watch the Throne" tour was slated to begin at 10 a.m. in Minneapolis via concert promoters Live Nation. As the clock ticked to 10:01 a.m. today, many Twin Cities fans flooded to the Live Nation site, only to be greeted by a list of dates that doesn't include Minneapolis -- and inevitably, panic has ensued.

So what's up?

According to the Target Center, the Minneapolis presale has been delayed due to "routing changes," as the two hip-hop kingpins appear to be massively reorganizing many of the dates on their tour and pushing back the start of the tour by about a month. A quick glance at

shows that we are one of many cities whose presale date is up in the air, and they have created a page for each individual affected city that indicates that our October 8, 2011 date at the Target Center may change.

Naturally, our Minneapolis page is already being flooded with complaints from angry and confused fans.

Rumors have been flying this week that the pair are at odds due to a disagreement over how much to spend on this tour (the story goes that Ye wants to go all out on a big-bucks stage set-up, while Hova hopes to plan conservatively and break even), but Jay-Z denied those reports yesterday during a radio interview in New York. "We have a healthy respect for one another," he said. "It's always about the art, it's never about him and me; it's always about the art."
