Janet Jackson's 5 most underrated hits

Miss Jackson if you're nasty

Miss Jackson if you're nasty

By Jen Boyles & Ian Traas

As a pop icon, Janet Jackson can do pretty much whatever she wants. If she went on a tour centered around singing her favorite polka tunes, the tickets would still sell out within minutes. Luckily for us, Janet's preparing a no-filler show where all special effects and stage excesses take a backseat to the best of her music, constructing the setlist entirely out of her No. 1 hits.

While there likely won't be many surprises, all the career highlights will be well-represented, and if you're a Janet fan, you'll be sure to get exactly what you came for.

And who knows, maybe we'll get special treats considering she recorded her breakthrough debut (Control) here in Minneapolis with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. To get us hyped for tonight, here's a list of five vintage tracks we hope make the cut, even if they aren't way up there with "Rhythm Nation" as her most recognized jams.
