Insane MN showcase — Lizzo, Atmosphere, Lifter Puller, Brother Ali — announced for Red Rocks

Holy shit, Red Rocks Amphitheatre!

The splendorous outdoor Colorado venue just scored a humdinger of a Minnesota lineup: Lizzo — our only superstar export in recent memory — plus mostly dormant, cult-loved indie-rock faves Lifter Puller and Rhymesayers heavy-hitters Atmosphere and Brother Ali.

All four hometown acts will perform September 2 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado — about 25 minutes outside of Denver. Tickets to the "Minnesota Takeover Live at Red Rocks" event are on sale now via for $40.

Has a single bill ever boasted so much local talent in the state of Minnesota? Tough to say, but this one might be worth the $183 round-trip plane ticket ($193 if you don't hate yourself/refuse to fly Spirit).

Also of note: Craig Finn's post-Lifter Puller band, the Hold Steady, will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of their breakout album, Boys and Girls in America, at nearby Riot Fest Denver from Sept. 2-4.
