Iggy Azalea to play TCF Stadium for U of M Homecoming
Def Jam

The rise of "Fancy" rapper Iggy Azalea continues. After playing the Fine Line just two years ago, the "realest" Australian pop star will join exclusive company -- U2, Passion Pit, Imagine Dragons, Atmosphere -- who have performed at the University of Minnesota's TCF Stadium.

The October show is for the U of M's yearly Homecoming celebration, and will also feature neon-faced party rockers Walk the Moon.

Azalea and Walk the Moon will perform as part of the Homecoming festivities on Friday, October 17. For last year's Passion Pit concert, the entire stadium was not utilized for the concert, but the layout for this show has not been announced just yet.

In addition to "Fancy" featuring Charli XCX, which had Weird Al Yankovic rushing to catch her on tour earlier this year to clear its "Handy" parody, Azalea has netted hits via collaborations with Ariana Grande ("Problem") and Rita Ora ("Black Widow"). Azalea and Ora performed latter the song on the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

Controversy has always been a part of the 24-year-old Azalea's formula -- a song titled "PU$$Y" and a Southern accent have raised some red flags -- so who knows what she'll have in store for this big gig.

Iggy Azalea. With Walk the Moon. Student tickets $20/$25, GA tickets $40/$50, 7:30 p.m., Friday, October 17 at TCF Stadium. Tickets on sale September 9. Info.
