Interpret this how you will, but Jordan Gatesmith looks like he just endured a hell of a bloody beatdown in the new Howler video for "This One's Different."

Following the area surf-punk act's frontman's comments from earlier this year about the Twin Cities music scene, there are more than a few locals who might have been willing to make this scene all the more real for less than the cost of a bucket of fake blood.

Impressively, the Jonathan Nowak-directed video keeps the rest of the band unscathed and clean through a variety of things a band ends up doing while bored on tour -- goofing around at the beach, goofing around in a hotel room, goofing around in an alley, etc.

If this means that Gatesmith has accepted his role as a local punching bag in Minnesota, we'll be disappointed. Get back up and have at 'em again!
