Tales of staggering incompetence aren't the only things coming from the Minnesota State Capitol today. 

While we didn't get bonding bills, bills, bills, we did get word that Gov. Mark Dayton declared May 23, 2016 Beyoncé Day in Minnesota! Dayton coulda gone with B'Day or Bey Day, but we're hereby not complaining.

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter began her career with the "singing group" Destiny's Child, the not-written-by-a-bureaucrat proclamation reads. It then rattles off her staggering war chest of career accolades, and points to her positive/powerful impact on girls and young women. View the entire proclamation below.

The high honor comes hours ahead of the pop megastar's concert Monday at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
