Golden Smog book two nights at the Fine Line

Longstanding Twin Cities-based supergroup Golden Smog have announced a two-night stand at the Fine Line, Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16. According to a press release from the Fine Line, the performance will feature all of the band's core members: Marc Perlman and Gary Louris (The Jayhawks), Dan Murphy (Soul Asylum), Kraig Johnson (Run West Run, Iffy), and Jody Stephens (Big Star).

No Jeff Tweedy this time around, though he reportedly is still "coming and going" from the band these days.

Ticketmaster is promising "Two Special Nights with Golden Smog, Two very different nights of music," whatever that means.

If our records are correct, this will be Golden Smog's first Twin Cities performance since they opened for then-presidential hopeful Barack Obama at the Target Center in February 2008.
