Gimme Noise on the radio
Over the past week, I've made a fair share of radio and podcast appearances to promote our Picked to Click issue. For those interested in enjoying things aurally, peruse a few of these downloads and streams. Special thanks to Dave Campbell from the Current, TD Mischke from "In the Stream," and David de Young from HowWasTheShow.com for helping to get the word out about our best-new-band issue!
First and foremost, here's a stream of Sunday night's Local Show on 89.3 the Current, which featured an hour-long interview and record spinning session with yours truly. Hear tracks from Red Pens, Zoo Animal, Double Bird, Moonstone, Caroline Smith and the Goodnight Sleeps, and the Guystorm, as well as a local performance and interview with former Picked to Click winners Lookbook.
Speaking of Lookbook, MPR's Chris Roberts stopped by the Gimme Noise headquarters to get our take on the popular local group. Sample audio from that segment here:
On this month's HowWasTheShow podcast, I was invited to co-host the show with HWTS founder David de Young and my friends and fellow music writers Pat O'Brien and Eric Bass. We played a couple tracks from Picked to Click winners along with some new local favorites by the Pines, the Starfolk, and more.
And finally, in case you missed our big reveal of this year's Picked to Click winners on the TD Mischke webcast "In the Stream," you can download the entire episode as an mp3 and relive the magic over and over again.
