Gayngs return to First Avenue for 'Affiliyated' showcase

Much ado has been made about the "supergroup" star power of Minneapolis-based collaboration Gayngs. It's no big secret that the band is a side project for scores of musicians who are involved in other projects -- and next month, Gayngs will return to the Twin Cities for the first time since last May's "Last Prom on Earth" to fill all three rooms of First Avenue with their many offshoots for an all-out extravaganza.

The Gayngs showcase at First Avenue will serve as a precursor to some exciting events that Gayngs, Gimme Noise, and First Ave have planned down in Austin, Texas this year at the SXSW music festival in mid-March. Rumor has it Gayngs will be performing a similar 'Affiliyated' showcase down in Austin, and Gimme Noise will be partnering with First Avenue to present our own showcase of all-Minnesota talent at this year's festival.

Keep an eye on Gimme Noise in the coming weeks for more announcements about our SXSW plans.
