Fun's show moved to Myth as the Brick undergoes renovations
Fun, purveyors of the current number one smash "We Are Young," will not be performing at the Brick on April 13. The show has been moved to Myth in Maplewood as the new AEG Live venue in Minneapolis's Warehouse District experiences "ongoing renovation."
This is actually the second venue shift for the popular show after the initial booking at the Varsity Theater proved to be so overwhelmingly popular.
On the one hand, it's a sign that the Brick is taking steps to eradicate concerns voiced by many attendees at their opening show featuring Jane's Addiction. On the other, a couple weeks of renovation could mean that there's a fair amount of work to get done in there. Regardless, the announcement also makes clear that there will be even more tickets available for the long sold-out show.
Here's the full statement from the Brick:
"Due to an aggressive ongoing renovation schedule to enable us to better accommodate our fans, The Brick will be unable to host the Fun. show on April 13. We apologize for any inconvenience to the fans."
As of Monday afternoon, the next scheduled concert at the Brick is Beats Antique on Saturday, April 14.
New show info:
Fun. With Miniature Tigers. Doors: 7:00 p.m., Show: 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 13 at Myth. Tickets cost $20. For tickets available after 5 p.m. on Monday, April 2, click here.
