Freeloader Friday: Trivia Mafia, Art Shanties, and wedding cake

It may be chilly and snowing, but this weekend is a great time to get out of the house. This Freeloader installment includes punk rock shows, two three-year anniversary parties, and art receptions to wake up your eyes.

Electronic duo Beatrix*JAR create music through circuit bending, a technique where children's toys and other electronic devices become new instruments with a little soldering. Also performing will be electronic group Ultra Chorus and JAR (featuring the Jacob half of Beatric*JAR). 21+. 9 p.m.

Lightning Struck Itself

In this gallery exhibition artist Andrea Stanislav will mix pop culture, rock idols, and utopian ideals. Or are they utopian? The opening celebration is tonight from 7-9 p.m.

Chuck and Sean's Trivia Three-Year Anniversary
