There are two ways to do this thing free. If you have skates, simply show up with them and take to the ice. If you don't have skates but bank at Wells Fargo, flash them your debit or credit card for a free rental. Open skate is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The rink is open this Saturday, but not Christmas. Bah humbug.
