Though they were just here last week, Foster the People have already booked a new U.S. tour that will keep them on the road through July of 2012, including a June 22 stop at the Target Center in downtown Minneapolis.

While it seems like quite the drastic upgrade to go from playing First Avenue to the neighboring arena, the venue says they will be using a smaller setup that they refer to as the US Bank Theater and will have a capacity of anywhere from 2,500 to 7,500 people, depending on the arrangement.

The announcement means that 1) bands on Foster the People's stature and popularity are already thinking about summer shows for 2012, and 2) they likely won't be playing Rock the Garden, since the Walker/Current event usually takes place that same week of June.

For their Minneapolis stop, FTP will be joined by Tokyo Police Club. Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 16, at 10 a.m. For more on the band, check out our review of Foster the People's very sold-out First Avenue show from last week.
