The State Fair's over, school's back in session, and the Electric Fetus is doing one last clear-out before we fully settle into fall. The weekend of September 14-15 marks the record store's sixth annual Garage Sale and the second time they've added a Fall Festival component.
In addition to a load of discounts on all merchandise in the retailer's Minneapolis location, five acts -- including the Cloak Ox's Andrew Broder and Jeremy Ylvisaker -- will entertain.
The lineup includes a mixture of the experimental rock from the Cloak Ox members Andrew Broder and Jeremy Ylvisaker, who release Shoot the Dog on September 17. Also on the bill are retro pop confectioners Brian Just Band, Afrobeat specialists Black Market Brass, indie rap group the Crunchy Kids, and Brian Tighe and Allison LaBonne's latest catchy project the Starfolk. Saturday will also provide the opportunity to get nourished by Glam Doll Donuts and Potter's Pies.
Electric Fetus Garage Sale & Fall Festival performances (Saturday):
Noon: Andrew Broder & Jeremy Ylvisaker of the Cloak Ox
1 p.m.: Brian Just Band
2 p.m.: Black Market Brass
3 p.m.: The Crunchy Kids

As for the Garage Sale, look for discounts of up to 75 percent on the gift department, and significant reductions on new and used LPs, CDs, and DVDs. All Garage Sale clearance takes an additional 50 percent cut on Sunday. Regular-priced items (except tickets, Mix-&-Burn, tobacco, and gift cards) are 15 percent off for the weekend.
