For the past eight years, the Electric Fetus -- along with numerous record stores around the Twin Cities and nationwide -- has thrown open its doors for an annual, day-long celebration of all things music (as well as the independent music shops themselves) on Record Store Day.
This year, the Fetus has once assembled a fantastic lineup of music, food, and family fun for the discerning record shopper (and their kids) from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday, April 18.
The Electric Fetus RSD party will feature a full day of live in-store performances, including They Might Be Giants; food and drink from Glam Doll Donuts, Natedogs, and Hola Arepa food trucks, and Peace Coffee; a kid's craft area (where they can do fun projects like recycling old vinyl and designing their own album cover) and DJ from 10 to noon, and plenty of additional surprises to be announced.
Then there's the centerpiece of Record Store Day: a series of exclusive releases too numerous to run here, although you can click this link for the full list and updates.
