Time to get in line (virtually). It seems Dwight Yoakam is one of the few country dudes every country-hating indie rock dude would pay good money to see gyrate his hips in tight, tight jeans, and so, country-hating indie rock dudes, here's your chance.
Tickets for Yoakam's Friday February 11 show at Mystic Lake Casino (8:00, $39/52) go on sale tomorrow at 10AM. If you're into guitars, I'd say at least $30 of that ticket price is worth seeing the Don Rich to Dwight's Buck Owens, guitarist and former Maverick Eddie Perez. It's been a few years since Yoakam's hit a casino closer than a couple hours from the city, so the quick trip to Mystic to see him late this winter will be well worth the drive. Unless, of course, you're headed to Coachella this spring, where he'll be playing in April. But who the hell's goin' to Coachella? See him in the casino - you'll be glad you did.
