One For The Team's Ian Anderson sure knows how to pick collaborators for his Dream Brother project. Dream Brother's first release, Haunted Heart/Pretty Eyes, featured indie rock heavyweights John Vanderslice and Free Energy's Paul Sprangers. And now Anderson has tapped Grant Cutler (formerly of Lookbook, now a member of both Grant Cutler and the Gorgeous Lords and WolfLords with Aby Wolf) to sing on his two new ethereal Dream Brother tracks, "Islands" and "More Islands."

Both tracks simmer a bit before they soar, with crisp, angular guitar riffs building to dynamic choruses that echo both Anderson and Cutler's other projects, as well as give us an indication where their sound could be heading in the future.

No word yet on whether the collaboration will result in any future live performances for the duo, but for now Twin Cities music fans should just celebrate the spirited, '80s-sounding vibes of these two enthralling songs.

The buoyant, churning numbers were recorded by Anderson in his Minneapolis home during this past winter and spring. Both tracks were mixed by Ian Pellicci at Tiny Telephone Studios in San Francisco this past June, and mastered by Dave Gardner at Magneto Mastering in Minneapolis.

Give a listen to the Islands & More Islands digital 7" below, and download the tracks for free as well.
