Downtown Music Festival announces 2014 lineup

The esteemed folks at Downtown Records are bringing an excellent music festival to Minneapolis in September. Headlined by one of the breakout bands of the year, Future Islands, this grouping of acts represents a jolt to kick off the fall.
Hosted by the Skyway Theatre, events will be spread over the weekend of September 26-27 in the venue's Mainroom, Studio B, and Loft.
Joining the masters of synth rock and dance will be shoegaze-metal extraordinaires Deafheaven, who absolutely dominated at Triple Rock earlier this year. L.A. electronic music purveyor Nosaj Thing is also a welcome addition to this eclectic bill of noise, experimental, and beat-driven artists. Representing the locals will be the young exuberance and heady pop songcraft of Hippo Campus.
