Dessa, Field Report, Solid Gold headline First Avenue's SXSW 2013 day party

Music fans heading down to Austin, Texas in March for this year's SXSW should mark the afternoon of Friday, March 15 on their schedule. Gimme Noise has partnered with the Current and Etix, as well as two of the Midwest's most revered music venues, our own First Avenue and Madison's Majestic Theater, to put on a sure-to-be-memorable day party at Holy Mountain in Austin that highlights the talented bands and artists who have emerged from both Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Dessa, Solid Gold, the 4onthefloor, Off With Their Heads, Dosh, and Lucy Michelle & the Velvet Lapelles represent the vibrant music scene we have here in the Twin Cities, while Field Report, PHOX, Count This Penny, F. Stokes, Masked Intruder, and Brandon Beebe are the strong Wisconsin contingent on the bill.
Doors to this 21+ event are at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15, with showtime beginning a half hour later at 11:30. The showcase is free to everyone of age, with no badge required for admittance.
The event is split between both an indoor and an outdoor stage, with set times staggered so that everyone can get their fill of the boundless creative musical talents coming out of Wisconsin and Minnesota.
In addition to sponsors First Avenue, Majestic Theater, Etix, the Current, and Gimme Noise, this event is also being presented by Mail Chimp, WORT FM, and Jonk Music.
Bands and set times planned for the indoor stage at Holy Mountain are as follows:
Brandon Beebe -- 11:30 a.m.
Dosh -- 12:30 p.m.
F. Stokes -- 1:30 p.m.
The 4onthefloor -- 2:30 p.m.
PHOX -- 3:30 p.m.
Dessa -- 4:30 p.m.
While these are the bands and set times scheduled for the outdoor stage:
Lucy Michelle & the Velvet Lapelles -- Noon
Masked Intruder -- 1:00 p.m.
Off With Their Heads -- 2:00 p.m.
Count This Penny -- 3:00 p.m.
Solid Gold -- 4:00 p.m.
Field Report -- 5:00 p.m.
