It has never been a secret that Los Angeles-based Dawes has called the Twin Cities a second home, and that the locals get a little touchy-feely about it. With the April 9 release of their third album Stories Don't End quickly approaching, the group will support local record stores on an intimate tour, which takes the band to Austin for SXSW, and includes an anticipated stop in Minneapolis at Electric Fetus in April.

The folk-rock foursome adopted an edgier sound for their upcoming release, set to come out on their own label, HUB Records. The record, trailered

, came together with the help of producer Jacquire King who has worked with Tom Waits and Kings of Leon.

Although the bulk of Dawes' upcoming shows will take place in Texas, a few other choice cities will get the chance to hear tracks from the new album live. Lucky for fans in Minneapolis, we've been chosen. Here are the dates:

March 11 - Austin, TX @ The Parish - Rocket Fuel Party
March 12 - Austin, TX @ Cedar Street Courtyard - DYN Music Meets Tech Party
March 13 - Austin, TX @ The Stage on Sixth - Paste Magazine Party
March 13 - Austin, TX @ Billy Reid Party
March 13 - Austin, TX @ Moody Theatre
