Dark Dark Dark give us a preview of next week's 'Spies' performance
As much as it pains us to admit that not only is the Walker's Music & Movies series underway but already half over, the organizers are giving us something extra-auspicious to look forward to for next Monday's finale. This year's Music & Movies series was tailored around themes from the Walker's exhibition Exposed: Voyeurism, Surveillance, and the Camera Since 1870, and the curators selected Dark Dark Dark to create a live soundtrack to Fritz Lang's Spies for the final show, which will also be the first time in recent history that the free event, traditionally held in Loring Park, will be moved onto the Walker's own grounds.
To get us ready for the series, Dark Dark Dark sent over a short teaser video that shows them collaborating with a group called the Modern Times Spychestra in advance of Monday's show:
And don't forget to head down to Loring Park tonight, one of only two Music & Movies events that will take place at its traditional site this summer (the first installment was moved inside the Walker due to rain). Tonight's event features a performance by Buffalo Moon at 7 p.m., followed by a screening of Blow Up.
