Lowertown's yearly musical extravaganza in Mears Park, the Concrete & Grass Music Festival, has just announced its September schedule. With acts ranging from the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra to Lucy Michelle to Halloween, Alaska (above), the seventh running of the St. Paul fest will take on a strikingly different tone each day.
The evenings of September 5-7 are free of charge, and are geared toward all-ages audiences, who have plenty of optimal sight line options in the park near the pavilion stage. You can bet that there will be some preschool dancers taking in the entertainment, as well. Food, wine, and beer will be available for purchase.
Here's the three-day schedule:
Thursday, Sept. 5
7 p.m. The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra
8 p.m. A-Ray (at the Black Dog Café)
8:30 p.m. Moore By Four
Friday, Sept 6
5 p.m. Alison Scott
6:30 p.m. Marimba Africa presented by the Ordway
8:30 p.m. Lucy Michelle featuring Chan Poling and John Munson
