Think these yahoos look happy? Imagine how happy you'll appear catching DON HENLEY at the fair!

Remember how it was 66 degrees yesterday? The warmer weather reminded us of a little season we like to call, "summer."

Speaking of summer, that's the time of year the Minnesota State Fair goes down, and as of Monday we can confirm the grandstand headliner slated for Night 1:  Don Henley of the Eagles on August 25.

The Eagles, of course, scored '70s hits like “Take It Easy” and “Hotel California.” In 1972 they bought bolo ties and made a passable country-rock album, Desperado. Henley will be touring in support of his 2015 solo country album, Cass County. His Eagles co-frontman, Glenn Frey, died in January.

Tickets — $50-$65 — go on sale 10 a.m. Friday via and the State Fair box office

The Dixie Chicks, Bonnie Raitt, and Demi Lovato/Nick Jonas are among the previously revealed grandstand headliners

In other Twin Cities concert news, Sigur Rós announced plans Monday to visit the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis on September 29. It's one of just 15 U.S. dates on the beloved Icelandic art-rock band's itinerary.

Tickets — $53.50-$83.50 — go on sale 11 a.m. Friday via or the State Theatre box office

On this upcoming tour, Sigur Rós will play sans brass/string sections and without openers, according to the press release, which continues:

"The shows will give the group a chance to road test new music, the first time since the tour leading up to the acclaimed ( ) album in 2002 that the band has performed new material ahead of album recording sessions. Alongside this experimentation played out in public, the band is also planning on attempting new interpretations of old songs that haven't been played in a very long time."

Sigur Rós played the Twin Cities three years ago in support of their last album, 2013's Kveikur.
