Ever imagine a scenario like 1996 enviro-comedy Bio-Dome, except with Minnesota musicians in place of Pauly Shore and Stephen Baldwin? You're in luck, weirdo! Como Park Zoo & Conservatory has the solution with its Music Under Glass concert series.
Set to kick off December 27 with the chamber-pop stylings of the Starfolk, the free series will bring local music talent to the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory's 2-acre tropical wonderland, a welcome reprieve from the frozen deathscape we call home.
The tunes — ranging from folk to blues to bluegrass to soukous — will begin at 4:30 p.m. every Sunday afternoon through February 28, save for January 31 and February 14. Beer, soda, and snacks will be available for purchase.
