Charlie's Angel Farrah Fawcett dead at 62

The iconic beach babe known as much for her hair as her roles throughout the years died this morning after a long battle with rectal cancer.

She was 62 years old.

The New York Daily News reported that loved ones gathered around Fawcett's hospital bed for the last several days after she took a turn for the worst at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif.

The actress had stopped treatment and lost most of her famous locks.

Fawcett's longtime love Ryan O'Neal recently told Barbara Walters in a 20/20 interview that the two had planned to marry as soon as she could say "yes."

The interview airs tonight on ABC.

Fawcett and O'Neil's son, Redmond O'Neal, 24, is in jail on drug charges but was allowed a last visit with his mother.
