Brian Setzer hospitalized with vertigo
Stray Cats frontman and Minneapolis citizen Brian Setzer spent most of his young days as a rockabilly hard-ass but found himself in the hospital this past week suffering from vertigo.
In Albuquerque, New Mexico two nights ago, Setzer had to depart the stage a bit early for a visit to the hospital, where he was treated for "dehydration, altitude sickness, and vertigo."
This is pretty much what the '50s were like.
From the MSNBC piece:
Award-winner Brian Setzer was unable to complete a performance in Albuquerque and was briefly hospitalized because of dehydration, high altitude sickness and vertigo. But a posting on his Web site says Setzer recovered quickly and will perform as scheduled Tuesday night in Phoenix. The rest of his current tour will continue as planned.
C'mon, Setzer! It wasn't so long ago that you were a rockstar! Just tell us you were up all night entertaining cocktail waitresses and guzzling cheap tequila -- it has a better ring to it. But in all seriousness, we wish you well and hope you'll knock that vertigo out with a few bad-ass sessions on your gee-tar.
