Bob Mould bringing Copper Blue to First Ave in September
Fresh off of recently announcing a long-awaited series of remastered reissues of the Sugar back catalogue, as well as a forthcoming record featuring his first brand new material since 2009, Bob Mould thrilled Twin City music fans by announcing that he would finally be bringing his celebrated Copper Blue tour to the familiar confines of First Avenue on September 15.
The First Ave. show will feature Mould and his new band, drummer Jon Wurster (Superchunk) and bassist Jason Narducy (Telekinesis, ex-Verbow), running through the Sugar classic, Copper Blue, in its entirety during one set, while another set will feature songs from Silver Age (Mould's first record of brand new material since 2009's Life And Times), mixed with songs from the entirety of Bob's illustrious career, from Hüsker Dü to Sugar as well as Mould's solo albums.
Mould also announced the track listing for Silver Age, which will be released on Merge Records on September 4. It features Mould once again playing alongside Wurster and Narducy, and should represent another stirring addition to Mould's growing back catalogue as well as his always riveting live shows.
The complete track listing for Silver Age is:
Stream Of Hercules
Round The City Square
First Time Joy
