Best Albums of '09: Pazz & Jop ballot
People can't seem to get enough of these year-end lists, so I thought I'd post my Pazz & Jop ballot for all to see. For the uninitiated, Pazz & Jop is a critics' poll conducted by The Village Voice newspaper in New York. This year, over 1500 music critics were asked to submit their top 10 albums of 2009, and rank them by divvying up 100 points among the 10 choices (hence the numbers after each album below). Check out last year's poll here; the new poll will be published January 18.
If I'm not mistaken, I'm not the only music writer here at City Pages to participate in this poll, so I'll nudge my colleagues to submit their lists as well.
