"As I'm sure most of you know I had to cancel over half of my U.S. tour a couple weeks back. It was a devastating decision to make," Adele said in a statement she posted to her website
. "I got better before and I'm getting better this time, and I will do everything I can to make sure nothing like this happens again!"
Adele also says that she's been unable to talk or take singing lessons for the past few weeks, and has passed the time cooking and watching Beyonce's I Am Sasha Fierce tour DVD and episodes of 30 Rock. "I cant wait to be able to sing again," she says, "I'm bored stiff."
The new Twin Cities date will be co-presented by First Avenue, Sue McLean & Associates, and JAM Productions, and an exchange program will be set up for those still holding onto their tickets from the original First Avenue show. Xcel has set up an FAQ page
about the exchange program.
Tickets for the Xcel show will run $29.50-$89 and go on sale Monday, July 11 at 10 a.m.
