Adele will make up missed First Ave gig at the Xcel
Talk about an upgrade. After postponing two separate appearances at First Avenue's Mainroom last month due to a bout of laryngitis that has kept her off the road for weeks, Adele has announced a make-up date for the Twin Cities: But rather than returning to honor her gig in the 1,800-capacity Mainroom, she'll return to play the mammoth Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul on August 24 with opener Wanda Jackson.
"As I'm sure most of you know I had to cancel over half of my U.S. tour a couple weeks back. It was a devastating decision to make," Adele said ina statement she posted to her website
. "I got better before and I'm getting better this time, and I will do everything I can to make sure nothing like this happens again!"
