Town Hall Tap

4810 Chicago Ave. S. Minneapolis, MN 55417 | Nokomis | 612-767-7307

Location Description:

To take advantage of its production capacity, Minneapolis's iconic Town Hall Brewery opened a second burger joint to showcase its beers, Town Hall Tap, at 48th and Chicago. The cozy space has high-backed booths, vintage beer signs, a hand-carved antique oak bar, and garage door-style windows to let warm breezes in. The Tap offers several Town Hall brews, including its signature Parkway Java Porter brewed with coffee beans from the neighboring Sovereign Grounds café. It's also one of the few bars in town to offer real ale, pumped from a cask, which can greatly enhance a beer's flavor and texture. Gourmet bar food goes great with the brews. Favorites include the Brie cheese curds with blackberry-jalapeño chutney, the house-cured corned beef, the beer-cheese soup, and beef-and-sausage burgers topped with an over-easy egg, hash browns, and hollandaise sauce.
