We were disappointed... my wife and I decided to take in a spooky haunted house in the twin cities area. She was told that a haunted house was located in the basement of a warehouse. We checked into it and got tickets...it was not busy....and wondered why...we were directed to sign a waiver form...really....now that will hold up in court, NOT. Then telling us one person died of a heart attack...really...this should be REALLY scary or did the poor soul have health issues, will never know....we were told we MUST stay in a group of 4 people....so we were paired with another couple. Great, we got the green light and proceeded down in the basement. My wife is small and loves haunted houses....she grabbed my arm as we walked thorught the dark....the first test was a spinning cage were each person had to get on as directed by a yelling beast over seeing the cage. We each got on one at a time. When I got off I wasa lone walking through a short dark hall and found the other couple standing and waiting to be carted away by wheel chairs from screaming monsters and derranged people...cool I said. One problem, my wife was still not there and missing. We waited but they carted us away. They brought us to another location and I said we need to wait for my wife. We did and no one came...we even waited at the next location for about 5 minutes and still no one except another group of 4 coming up behind us. How interesting, we were told how important it was to stay togther as a group of four. As we walked through the maze in the basement we found how easy it was to get to the final destination and no scary events were taking place...it was just really dark and smelled alot....and still no wife in sight. I spoke to that same couple that started with us and they were as confused as I was...why would they allow anyone not to rejoin the group or why not help the person get to the group before getting to far ahead? They made it very clear, stay together...and of course we did ourt best...and besides we wanted to experience this haunted house as a couple NOT alone. It took our group about 15 minutes to walk through...it took another 20 minutes for my wife to come out after we arrived....and she was not happy. She said got turned around and never made it to the wheel chairs...and was yelled at to locate her group of 4. Really...why not have someone assist her...she was told NOT to walk with other groups...which made it more diffcult for her to find her way but managed anyway.. She thought the fun was left back at the spinning cage an dwheel chairs. I agreed...and I even explained to the event director what heppened. No one really cared that she was still inside and told me I could not go back in...after coming out. Wow...I was so blown away by poor communication and the lack of effort to locate my wife...somehow I believe they had no clue on how to handle such matters...and its unfortunate that we paid money to experience a haunted house with such poor staff...the talk was scarier then the actual experience....even a person standing there waiting with me agreed...it was not scary so beware.
