A swanky restaurant and cocktail lounge found in an unassuming white 1970s high-rise in downtown St. Paul. Far East meets Latin America in this hybrid menu, blending those diverse flavors a la Chino Latino. The dining room is posh and contemporary, decorated in rich, warm colors, dimly lit and sexy. The food is artfully prepared and presented. Try the scrumptious tacos, especially the Barbacoa de Borrego--roasted lamb and smoked poblano salsa, or the Pollo al Pastor--spicy chicken with pineapple salsa. The menu is ideal for a large group sharing dishes. The lounge is a dynamite stop for late-night cocktails and small bites, sleek with glowing lanterns. The cocktail menu is full of rum-drenched tropical delights, including the Donkey Punch (no comment), based on the recipe for the Wondrous Punch at Red Dragon, a decent beer selection, and a nice collection of artisanal sake.
