2551 Lyndale Ave. S Minneapolis, MN 55405 | Uptown/ Eat Street | 612-354-7060

Location Description:

If you find yourself in need of a nosh well after midnight, your choices are often relegated to tots and chicken tenders. That menu is suitable in some cases, but if what you crave is a more grown-up option like seared scallops with almond gazpacho and tart green grapes, preferably with a nice gimlet, head to Nightingale in Whittier where the full menu is served until 2:00 AM. Nightingale features different types of small plates: sophisticated bruschettas, traditional Spanish tapas like spicy albondigas, and composed veggie plates like roasted beets with beer gastrique. So you can plan to do the mix-and-match thing, or go for one of the more generously portioned entrees like grilled quail or the burger with aged cheddar and malt vinegar aioli. Sunday brunch has recently been added to their lineup, and rumor has it their Michelada is as good as their Bloody Mary.
