Location Description:

While the Golden Gopher football team has a rich, storied history, with seven National Championships dating back to the early part of the 1900's, their last came in 1960, and the team hasn't had much success since then. Their last Big Ten championship was all the way back in 1967, and the team has been mired in mediocrity or worse ever since. In 2009 the Gophers moved from the Metrodome to the newly built TCF Bank Stadium, a glorious outdoor facility on the U of M campus. The new stadium helped build a groundswell of support for the Gopher football team, but that hasn't really equated to as many victories as players, coaches, and supporters had hoped. The likable Jerry Kill is the team's coach, and hopefully has them heading in the right direction in the future. Beer service has just been started at TCF Bank Stadium (a rarity for Big Ten athletic events), and the plentiful vending options at the stadium are generally tasty and somewhat affordable.
