Tucked into the Longfellow Neighborhood on East Lake Street, Forage Modern Workshop is where DIY meets sleek boutique. A cute little design shop that offers a mix of vintage and contemporary furniture and decor, quirky gifts, local art, and charm, it’s fashioned to each buyer’s personality -- and a range of budgets. Owned by Michael Smith and James Brown, and augmented by the talents of Business Manager and Buyer Rebekah Cook, the store places an emphasis on the artists and designers that have created the pieces, presenting it all with an unpretentious Midwestern flair. You can also enlist Forage’s room planning and design services with Lead Designer Katie French. Forage also rents out its furniture for photo shoots and set designs for your creative project. Whatever your plans, make sure you leave enough time to stop by Parka, the cozy coffee shop next door where you can get Dogwood coffee and a yummy meal.
Forage Modern Workshop was formed out of a desire to provide a community, where customers become friends, the competition becomes partners, and shopping becomes a movement. Every person has a story to tell and adds value to our community; so should our homes, furniture and food.
