Cafe Maude

5411 Penn Ave. S. Minneapolis, MN 55419 | Southwest Minneapolis | 612-822-5411

Location Description:

Café Maude debuted in 2007 with a simple idea: Be as chic as Chanel, as hip as a San Francisco DJ, and as affordable as T.G.I.Friday's. Sound good to you? Yeah, you and everyone else in town. If you do ever get in, some of the highlights you'll find: creative cocktails; a jewel-toned room vibrating with live music or the choices of a live DJ played just loud enough to make you feel like you're at a party, but not too loud for conversation; a good wine list; exciting non-alchoholic drinks (be sure to get any birthday girls the one garnished with a marshmallow peep); a gorgeous cheese plate; modestly priced entrees of wood-fired meats; and French fries served with a cheese fondue sauce for dipping. Reservations are recommended, not for the full-service breakfast and lunch, but for dinner--seriously, dude, they're serving hyper-mega-gourmet cheese fries to people drinking high-octane cocktails and eating budget steaks. This is not your parents' Edina-adjacent Minneapolis; call first.
