This unpretentious North Minneapolis barbecue joint offers a range of items, including pork and beef ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken, steaks and more. The menu could use some editing—the pork chops and brisket are tasty, the steaks are iffy, and the ribs are nicely charred and spice rubbed, but far too tough and fibrous. A versatile house BBQ sauce is a major saving grace, perfectly balanced, neither too sweet nor too tangy nor too spicy. Skip dessert and most of the side dishes and concentrate on the rib tips, brisket, and chicken offerings. - James Norton
