Romance is different things to different people. To you, it might be the roughly six fireplaces in the charming Victorian dining rooms at W.A. Frost, or the gorgeous summer patio, with its trees soaring four stories above the flowering plantings and candles on the garden-party-perfect brick patio. For us, it might more be the fantastic 1,100-bottle wine list with its beguiling under-$40 section, and it might also be the ambitious, forward-looking cooking. Factor in the single-estate coffees, unique artisanal cheeses, perfect tea service, and luxurious desserts, and you'll soon be checking your jacket to see if Cupid's arrows left any visible marks, and asking your date, "Hey, does that firelight in your eyes come from the room, the food, or me?" Reservations are recommended--and reservations on Valentine's Day are recommended about three years out.
