The Green Room

Where you once cashed a check, you can now eat chana masala, as the former First National Bank in downtown Stillwater has been reborn as the First National Green Room. The restaurant has retained the building’s original brick walls and offers lovely views of both Main Street and the river. Chef Christopher Durant’s menu reaches around the globe and includes house-made hummus and baba ghanoush, a Norwegian salad, sushi, and pizza, along with several items inspired by Indian cuisine. Some dishes, like the lobster ceviche, overreach, but the eatery injects some much-needed creativity into the area’s culinary offerings.
