Rush Creek Golf Club, located 20 miles from downtown Minneapolis in Maple Grove, is one of the best public golf courses in the Twin Cities area. Their 18-hole championship course is a true test for golfers of any talent level, and has played host to numerous national and LPGA events, as well as the 2004 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. The greens at Rush Creek were all redone in 2007, and run as true as any in the state. In addition to the lush, challenging course, which features many holes spectacularly bordered by water, Rush Creek also features an impressive clubhouse with a well-stocked golf shop and the Scottish-themed Highlander Restaurant, which offers patrons a full bar and hand-crafted menu. The club also provides lessons to golfers of any age or gender, as well as a banquet facility that can host weddings and special events.
